The Development Application for the Tumuruu BESS & Solar project was approved by the South Burnett Regional Council on 22 November 2023.
The Development Application (DA) was approved by the South Burnett Regional Council on 22 November 2023. This followed extensive studies, assessments, and modifications based on feedback received throughout the process.
The approval came after a thorough assessment process that included public notification, consideration of community submissions, and review of comprehensive technical, environmental, and planning documentation.
Current Status: With the DA approved, the project is now progressing through remaining approvals including grid connection and other regulatory requirements, ahead of an anticipated Final Investment Decision in Q3/Q4 2026.
