The Tumuruu BESS & Solar is a large-scale renewable energy project located in the South Burnett region. The project site sits on approximately 672 hectares of freehold land with the project footprint covering approximately 300 hectares.
Tumuruu is being developed by Australian Solar Enterprises with support from a highly qualified and experienced group of consulting partners with a combined 110+ years in development approvals and the renewables industry.
Our approach is to design and deliver a large-scale project that moves the renewable sector forward to help meet Australia's climate targets, using a low-profile, high-density solar solution that minimises visual impact and preserves agricultural land.

A next-generation renewable energy project designed to deliver reliable, dispatchable green power into the National Electricity Market.
With 2,000MWh of battery energy storage, Tumuruu delivers power when the grid needs it most — not just when the sun shines. This ensures reliable, on-demand clean energy for the NEM.
A compact substructure with an ultra-low profile of approximately one metre at the highest point, reducing visual impact while achieving 72% less CO2 compared to conventional solar substructures.
A Community Benefit Fund will be established for the life of the project, supporting local initiatives with initial funding expected in late 2026 aligned to the start of construction.
Located in Queensland's South Burnett region, just north of the town of Blackbutt, the project site is well-positioned with proximity to existing Powerlink transmission infrastructure.
We welcome community input and are committed to keeping you informed as the project progresses.
